How to make a cupcake stand for about $4

We all know that the cupcakes and the cake are the center of the party! I also know how expensive a cupcake stand or a cake stand can be! Especially if you want it to match your event! Well, here is a cheap way to make your cake stand or cupcake stand.

Supplies you will need:

A few boxes. You can reuse old boxes or pick a few up from your local post office (free)

2-3 cans of spray paint .98 each at walmart.

Newspaper or paper (Free..If you don't have a newspaper I bet you know someone who does!)

I used 3 Medium size priority flat rate boxes and 1 small square priority box. Shake your spray paint can really well before applying each coat of paint. Each box will need at least 3 coats of paint.

Let each coat dry for about 5-10 minutes. Once you are done applying all coats of paint let each box dry over night. Your finished cupcake stand should look something like this! You can layer your cupcake stand/cake stand anyway you like!

I scream, you scream we all scream for......cupcakes??

Yield: Makes 24 cupcakes

Ingredients:

package (18-1/4 ounces) white cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare mix

tablespoons nonpareils

flat-bottomed ice cream cones

Prepared vanilla and chocolate frostings

Additional nonpareils and decors

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Stir in nonpareils.

Spoon 1/4 cup batter into each ice cream cone.

Stand cones in 13X9-inch baking pan or in muffin pan cups. Bake about 20 minutes or until toothpicks inserted into centers come out clean. Cool completely on wire racks.

Frost cupcakes and decorate as desired.

Note These cupcakes are best served the day they are prepared. Store them loosely covered.

I finally got the blog up and running again! I was determined to get it all figured out by myself! With an 17 month old running around, and a 7 year old it can be pretty impossible to find the time to sit down! Well, after much time I am finally done! Now that I am finished I can finally show you pictures from Briar's 1st birthday party! Yes it was back in September!! But, better late then never!... Right? :) Well, I'm not sure if you had the same trouble I did or not. I couldn't find any thing in Mickey Mouse for a 1st birthday! You would think that, that would be a very popular 1st birthday theme right? Well, I couldn't find anything! I will be posting pictures this afternoon so check back!! Well, It has been a long day! And its only 1:00! :o) We went to zacks school this morning to take cupcakes and invitations. And silly old me dropped the invitations in the rain water on the way in! But, the envelopes were BLAH! But the invitations were saved!! :o) Anyway I thoughtI would take a few moments to share zacks birthday party invitations with you! I think they turned out great! We are doing the boy polka dot theme from my collection like the crown picture down below. But, I am adding a twist to it! Zack is having a shark birthday so I am adding a few shark decorations into the mix! We do not have a pool and I have an 8 month old so a beach party is kinda out of the question. So we are going to buy shark slip in slides from walmart and put them up in the back yard along with a little kiddie pool! I think its going to be a lot of fun! Hope your all having a great day! Here is the start of Zack's 7th birthday party! Wait until I add the Shark bait , and shark tags to the crown. As zack would say, It's going to look so COOL! :o) One of my favorite things about this party style is, It looks fabulous just the way it is! No Need to add anything else. So if your not sure what party theme you want to do just leave it the way it is! Or we can add any image to the hats and crown to make it coordinate with any party theme! I LOVE it!

So, I am finally done with Madilyns birthday invitation! I am doing a Dora theme party for her! She LOVES Dora! I did a few different invitations but, this one is my favorite! Her birthday party is going to be so much fun! I am working on the birthday hats now! I will post more pictures later!
